The big purple CRISPE Bus rides in another warm southern California morning for the San Diego Martin Luther King Day Parade. Is there a more appropriate parade considering all the disenfranchised parents fighting for the freedom to be with their children? The destruction of intact families would have made Dr. King weep in agony were he alive today. And, black families are the hardest hit, though he would have cried for all of us.

The CRISPE Bus makes an impression everywhere we go and everyone we see. Thousands of people are mad aware that our children are being hurt by not having 50/50 EQUAL parenting. Many people think that 50/50 parenting is automatic and finally find out the the truth and say that's not fair. We should all have it.

Let's push for EQUAL shared parenting and make it a reality for all children for 2008!

********

Letter from President of CRISPE, Larry Kerkman:

After a successful weekend in West Virginia at the Men & Women Against Discrimination Shared Parenting Conference. CRISPE is planning a 2008 national tour.

It was reassuring that legislators remembered CRISPE from our tour last summer. Several of whom said that they like the positive image CRISPE represents. It appears many, if not most, support having equal parenting legislation adopted this year in West Virginia. Clearly, some remembered our big purple bus from last summer and wondered where it was!

On this tour CRISPE wants to include on the outside of the bus in bold letters the names of as many related organizations as possible. The more the better. A central goal of CRISPE is to facilitate the unification of like minded organizations toward the formation of a strong national movement. So, please, jump on Board with the California's Men Center, American Coalition of Fathers and Children (ACFC), Men and Women against Discrimination, and the Children’s Rights Council (CRC) to help make this summer’s tour a success.

It costs approximately $10,000 a month to keep the bus traveling one state to another; and, sometimes back again. There are hundreds of organizations across the country that support equal parenting and related issues. We need your help in getting the word out that CRISPE needs 100 of them to sign on like the organizations above, each of which has committed $100 per month for the next 12 months to have the name of their organization prominently displayed on the CRISPE bus.

CRISPE is a powerful and hard to miss change agent. In less than a year of traveling the country we have developed strong alliances, helped bring like minded organizations more closely together, generated news articles, television reports, radio interviews, and established relationships with policy makers at local, state, and federal levels. We have made hundreds of new friends across the country. We need to build on that success. Keep the momentum strong. Image how much more powerful would be CRISPE and it’s allies with the names of 100 organizations boldly imposed on the bus.

All CRISPE revenue comes from tax deductable donations. All of it. CRISPE needs your help and the help of just 100 like minded organizations or individuals who will donate $100 per month for 12 months. That’s enough to keep CRISPE rolling for equal parenting from one rally or event to the next, including producing our t-shirts, brochures, placards, and other promotional materials.

We are in the process of finalizing a PowerPoint presentation about the benefits of equal parenting which shown for the first time last week in West Virginia. When finished this powerful tool will available to others for educational purposes. It will be distributed on the tour like Johnny planting apple seeds.

To help our movement we need:

1.One or two representatives from every state to help with the planning of this years tour.

2.People who want to wrap their car, van, RV, boat and baby carriage like the CRISPE bus. We need small, medium, large, and whatever size vehicles looking like CRISPE across the United States.

We are in the final stages of expanding our website to include the ability for CRISPE representatives to have their own website for each state. There will be an interactive map of the United States where with a click on any state on the map the viewer will be taken to the applicable website for information.

CRISPE IS BUSY and we need you to get busy with CRISPE! Keep the big purple bus rolling. Help us help you make the future a better place for all of us.

Jump on the CRISPE band bus for change. CRISPE absolutely makes a difference. The more names we get on the bus the more powerful we are to make the change our country so desperately needs to keep children with their parents.

Help save our children from destructive Family Court battles. Please send this e-mail to your friends, acquaintances, business associates, and organizations so we can pull together and unite for our children.

Sincerely,

Larry Kerkman
