The fee for the above referenced event is $20.00 per person prepaid. I have the ability to secure two additional tickets for anyone that wishes to go but does not have the registration fee. I registered today and can't wait to go and hope that two more people can make it. Message me privately and I will register you for the event if you need. I will try and secure more funds for anyone else that would like to go but cannot afford to. I will need to know soon though.

Also, I spoke with a gentleman in Ohio that is confirmed as going who will be busing approximately 9 other F4J members with him. This is indeed a great day and I will be talking about the event on tonight's Get Off The Bench show. If you don't know how to get into the show, visit http://www.getyourjusticelive.com and follow the instructions or stream live.

The direct link to the EVENT PAGE at DCRALLY2008.COM is:

http://www.dcrally2008.com/events/2008-National-Fatherhood-Summit.php

If you have not already registered, please do so and then kick me a direct email to let me know if you are going. I would love to meet many more of you there at the event.

Hello all,

Please see email from Dr. Walker below. Thankfully, there will be many more events such as the National Fatherhood Summit and the DC Rally where all the organization join forces and work together towards the same goal.

Thanks!

Subject: [Parents Without Rights] Re: [krightsradioemailgroup] Don't Get Fooled again ACFC Names Dr. Lind

In January 2002, I wrote,

The SINGLE greatest challenge we all face, and the reason for the

scarcity of our successes, is the fact that we are so amazingly

fragmented and divided. There seem to be half a dozen "Father's" rights

groups in each state and territory -- hundreds of ostensibly identical

groups. They tend to get started when someone steps into family court

and is surprised at the one-sided systems. The sense of outrage is high

at the onset, but fades as one either a) accepts the system b) runs out

of money c) gets a 'satisficing' decision -- then the group just sort of

disappears.

The tactics of our enemies are many. While the issues of the 2nd

Amendment and Father's rights are different, there are some interesting

parallels between the tactics of those that would take away the 2nd

Amendment and those that have taken away our rights to be Fathers. We

may be able to learn from that war. Similarly, there are parallels

between our fight and the fight for civil rights that began (and

continues) more than 150 years ago. We may also be able to learn from

that war.

We lack the equivalent of NOW. We are currently so divided that if our

enemies has set out to divide and conquer us, they could not have done a

better job. Sadly, we are often our worst enemies and are plagued by

factionalism, infighting and, ultimately, apathy.

In the long run, the problem is the set of laws that have been put into

place, as well as what I call the divorce culture and the divorce

industry. As long as we are divided, as long as we do not speak with one

voice, we will remain ineffective at the legal reform that is needed.

Unfortunately, there is no reason to change a word of this essay. For

those of you who read the PWR blog, you know the updates and expansion

of this essay.

One of the most important things that you can do as a member of this

Organization and YahooGroup is recruit other members. If you think of

anyone who would enjoy or benefit from receiving our e-mails, please

suggest that they register at the Parents Without Website.

Hello all, The problem I see with the movement is that there are too

many organizations (and therefore too many leaders), and each one is

doing its own "thing."

My dream is to see every one working together under the same

organization. Attached is a compilation of organizations and websites

that I have put together for your review. They are way too many. If we

take all the people on those groups and make one big group and start

speaking out, it will be BIG! The same applies to yahoo groups.

One other thing - I am a woman and a stepmom. I am in this movement

because of the suffering that my husband (as many other fathers) is

going through. I think it could be advantageous to have women in this

movement in the same way that it was advantageous to have whites in the

black movement so many years ago. In my opinion the more the better.

It is just a matter of staying focused on what we want to achieve.

Thanks!

  Not A Single Front Engagement

No doubt the issues we have with the law, the system, case workers, ourselves, judges and the list goes on defines questions on the front political burner this year. With the big show being America's national elections in November.

In my humble opinion I feel we should be doing everything we can, to find out everything we can about the bozo's on the national political bus. These people have nothing less in their little brains than to run our country and control our lives. That means get their hands in our families pocket books and our family's unity on every aspect.

Is that what you want? They, the government has proved corrupt and inept on all sides. The real issue is whether those of us who want to remove government intrusion into our families can really muster a showing. Many have been to rallies of 50 to 100 people before. But we must grow to ten thousand and more. Right away!

How is that accomplished? It is impracticable to see a one group, everyone under the same banner father's organization. There have been some great attempts unfortunately they could not realize needed changes. They became to focused on a single issue and they were beaten on deserted fronts by our nemeses, in this case child support took the advantage.

That is why a new change of strategy is important. Stand back look at the war. Alienation, False Allegations, Domestic Violence Against Men, VAWA, men's rights, fathers rights, Child Support, IV-D, Father Custody, Non Custodial Parents, Shared Custody, Equal Custody, ADHD, Vaccines, Foster Care, CPS, consent... Kinda get the idea. Topics.

Our issue is, "The intrusion into the family by state government agencies must cease. At Once. There must be investigations into the system of family law" I think that cuts to the core of the problem. This is the political issues. Each of our own personal Topics are what we endorse that supports our issue!

The question we should be asking ourselves each day was which political canidate were we going to contact today. We all must be doing this everyday and to those who have or are doing this we all thank you, keep it up encourage and mentor others in the groups to get more active. It is gonna take you!!!

So you are in front of a person running for elected office which is very easy to do. What we asking for? Everyone wants exposure and change. We demand investigations into the Family Law System. We want to make 2009 the year of investigation for our new president and congress. Investigations of the performance by the officals and agencies charged to protect the best interest of our children.

So that is my take. That is how I will be directing myself. Talking and asking myself who have I contacted today about my issue. Then have a big huge Las Vegas event rally in September before the election and show a force unlike every before. Then Vote in November and start setting getting ready to open up the family court mafia.

Know this. More that never before in history has one issue affected so many American children through generations. The system of Family Intrusive Laws in America must come under full accountability to the open eyes of the people. There is a full justification in the mass of voices by the people which this system has destroyed.

The time is now to stand up! Demand change! We are not asking any longed!

We Demand - For the best interest of OUR CHILDREN!
Investigations and Reform!

just my thought - Richar'

  From Boone County Fathers/Child Advocates
Posted by: "joe jurecki" joejurecki@achildsright.net   joemaflage
Sun Jan 6, 2008 10:06 pm (PST)
The National Fatherhood Summit in Grand Rapids Michigan was an outstanding success with an impressive line-up of speakers and top leaders of the family rights movement from around the country.
Stuart Showalter, executive director of Boone County Fathers/Child Advocates, met with others passing through Indiana and drove to the event together arriving on the evening of January 3. Activists met with each other throughout that evening while Minister Ron Smith of Children Need Both Parents, Inc., met with media representatives before everyone joined him for the broadcast of his weekly radio show.
Various local television, radio and print media attended the event. WZZM video
http://www.wzzm13.com/video/video_player_1.aspx?aid=28123&sid=85759&bw=hi&cat=87
After a hearty and healthy breakfast the attendees were treated to a round of speeches by local political leaders including Robert Dean, co chair of the Child and Family Services Committee and Rep. Rick Jones of the Judicial Committee who expressed a need to change the laws to maintain better bonds between children and their parents.
Edward Bartlett of RADAR (Respecting Accuracy in Domestic Abuse Reporting) spoke about the need for laws to protect men from domestic abuse and for police agencies to accurately report domestic abuse cases. He also spoke about the damaged caused by the false allegations of domestic violence which stand in the way of those truly at risk from getting help.
Encouragement came from a rousing speech by Lary Holland of Get off the Bench who is one of the most dedicated and effective family rights activist there is. Robert Pedersen of a Child's Right, who rode his bicycle from Michigan to the DC Rally in Washington last year, appeared with his wife and spoke of their dedication to children and families and the need for more people to join in the effort to change the system that is currently harming children and their families.
Jim Semerad of Dads of Michigan, Dan Wilson of Parents for Children and Carol Rhodes must be commended for the efforts they have put into getting legislation introduced in Michigan that would help protect the children and families in that state. Many others who have not been mentioned here also contributed greatly to the event and to the movement to keep children united with their parents. The passion and dedication of Minister Ron Smith, who opened and closed the Summit, is something that every person should aspire to reach. Regardless of what ones activism is about even the most dedicated can still feel humbled in his presence.

One of the special moments of the event was seeing honorably discharged Marine Paul Sielski outside of jail. Paul had been held in the Frederick County Maryland jail for four months while awaiting trial for alleged failure to support his child. Although Paul was facing up to 23 years in prison, non-lawyer family rights legal activist went to Maryland and informed the court and state's attorney of their illegal actions and demanded that Paul be released. One charged was dropped and the other was disposed of without an admission of guilt. Paul was then free to leave.

After the event Torm Howse and Theresa Martin of United Civil Rights of America and Stuart Showalter went East through Detroit and down to central Ohio meeting activists throughout the journey before returning to Indianapolis early Sunday.

Again Richar your accuracy is uncanny. I attended a
seminar for potential Republican candidates this
weekend. It is amazing how out of touch and unwilling
most of these politicians are to the crimes government
is committing against families and especially fathers.
I have a particularly tough time here in Ok. as one of
the main leaders of the party is a family law
attorney. I asked some senators if they knew what the
states UDC fund was 2 walked away the others feigned
surprise when I told them Millions of $$ are kept by
the states and not giving to the children and that no
stae can government can survive without the fedral
money from divorce and foster care.
I have grown accustom to this kind of cold reception
most candidates want to talk about immigration, crime,
education the issues that are pushed through the
mainstream media. These of course are ligitimate
issues but they could be more effective if government
allowed fathers into the lives of their children.
On my drive home I questioned wheather it is even
worth it to run for office or continue to approach
these morons who only care about themselves.
I can only say what I told them at the seminar
"America is rotting from the inside out".

Man arraigned after store camera captures toddler
being beaten up
January 6, 2008

By AMBER HUNT

FREE PRESS STAFF WRITER

A Detroit man police say was caught on surveillance
tape smacking, kicking and stepping on a toddler
inside a convenience store was arraigned today on
child abuse charges.

Joseph Gray, 27, was turned in by tipsters who saw
parts of the Dec. 21 videotaped abuse on TV news
coverage.

Detroit police released some of the video to the media
in hopes of tracking down the man, who is seen at one
point slamming the child’s head into the glass of a
cooler door.

“When the video aired, our department was flooded with
tips,” said police spokesman James Tate.

The department’s southwestern district took the tip
that led to Gray, who was arrested at a relative’s
house.

Gray has acknowledged that he is the man in the tape,
Tate said.

Gray was with the 19-month-old son of his girlfriend,
police said. After the beating, he’s seen leaving the
boy behind in the convenience store aisle. The boy,
bundled up for winter, pulls himself up and follows
after Gray.

The boy now appears to be OK, police said.

Gray faces charges of second- and third-degree child
abuse. He was arraigned by video from the Wayne County
Jail. A preliminary hearing has been set for Jan. 17.

Fatherhood Summit 2008 Pics and Media Request‏
From:    ACFC (info@acfc.org)
Sent:    Sun 1/06/08 9:45 AM

Dear Reader,

We hope your New Year is getting off to a good start.  2008 is shaping up to be an exciting one for those involved in issues related to family law and Shared Parenting.  This enewsletter contains two items of interest,  the Fatherhood Summit this past week in Grand Rapids, Mi. and a request from the media.

Media Request

We have received a request from a major news outlet in the mid Atlantic (Pa, NJ, Del.) seeking to interview a father who is owed child support and is having trouble collecting.  If you are in this situation and would like to be considered for inclusion in the program please send a 100 word summary of your case along with your contact information for forwarding to the producers.  Obviously, ACFC has no control over the production and whose story may be used, we are however grateful this inequity in the system is being examined.  Send your story to info@acfc.org indicating CS Issue in the subject line.  Thanks.

Grand Rapids Fatherhood Summit, January 4, 2008 Update

GR_Morning_SessionThe best word to describe what transpired at this event is WOW!  This past Friday over seventy people gathered at Abundant Life Ministries for a unique experience.  People came from as far away as California.

Besides the food, fellowship and presentations, the most affirming and gratifying aspect of the day was the presence of SIX Michigan legislators and a handful of ministers.  What a significant statement of support for our goals.  The confirmation that our message is being heard and that legislators are interested in our issues validates your efforts and current course of action.

New ACFC President, Linda Nielsen, in a videotaped presentation, indicated our responsibility is to educate, advocate and legislate.  Several legislators returned to this theme in their individual presentations.  All the legislators present indicated they consider our issues of utmost importance.

On Saturday a number of people, members of F4J, Moms and Dads of Michigan, ACFC, etc. gathered at the River Creek Mall and distributed shared parenting literature to shoppers for several hours.  What a positive way to cap off the Summit.

Special thanks goes out to Rev. Ron Smith for all his efforts in putting the event together and to Robert and Angela Pedersen for their efforts in reaching the media with information.  Over 20 stories, news segments and television interviews resulted from their efforts.

We'll link video of the event as it becomes available.  Until then click here to enjoy photos of the event.

ACFC Board member, Dr. Stephen Walker and I will spend the upcoming week traveling several states in the midwest, meeting with legislators, judges, administrators and citizens to discuss shared parenting and family law improvement projects.  Thanks to all of you who provide support and encouragement as these efforts continue.

Sincerely,

Mike McCormick, Exec. Dir.
