San Diego meeting reminder for this evening - good stuff...‏

Hi Everyone!

This last Thursday of the month evening meeting guest speaker is Phil Thalheimer, local businessman running for a vacant City Council seat. In 1986 when pursuing a graduate degree in Psychology Phil wrote a paper about abused men for which he took considerable abuse from other students. It’s also a great opportunity to share with him some of our issues, particularly at the local level.

There’s much to discuss. Hopefully Kevin Young can give us an update on CAFEP and what progress is being made to find legislative sponsors for the family code revisions prepared by CAFEP members.

There’s a bunch of NCFM news and for those of you who are not members you can get a copy of the newest edition of TRANSTIONS, NCFM’s magazine.

Larry Kerkman should be here too and you can wish him well from his recent surgery, which has been extremely debilitating for Larry. I saw him a couple days ago and he looked worse than he normally does…uh, well… something like that.

There’s a brief slide presentation of happenings from my recent trip to Washington D.C. that you can watch here: http://californiamenscenters.org/activitiesgreycontinued.html

The first few slides (brick wall background) are of RADAR members preparing to visit every Representatives office and deliver educational materials re VAWA. The rest of the slides are of various activists either attending or speaking at the D.C. 2008 festival.

The crock pots up and running so there are good eats, come hungry. See you this evening if in San Diego!

Take Care,

Harry Crouch
