Too drunk

Realized my previous post was way too long when I really have only 1 question at this point. Have you ever turned a new guy down for sex because he was really really drunk (slurring, said a few obnoxious things, later didn't remember anything you & he talked about that night)? I did and he seemed to back off/shy away from me after that. Would It help to have a quick chat about how I Really did like him but didn't think it'd be great for our first time to be when he was super drunk? (I only made out with him that night) would a guy even understand why a woman would feel that way?!
