Activists at LA Courthouse for Equal Shared Parenting

On Friday, May 4th the CRISPE bus met 16 Shared Parenting activists at a mostly dark parking lot in San Diego at 3:45AM. That's right AM!  These very dedicated and concerned people that want to support Alec Baldwin cause to end Parental Alienation and develop laws for Shared Parenting and make other changes in our Family Court System had started their daily much earlier than normal. We want to extend a big Thank You to those brave people that got out of bed that early in the name of protecting children and their family rights.

We arrived at the Los Angeles Court House at 6:30AM with plenty of time to get ourselves organized and to plan our local strategy.  Everyone chose their own sign, put on their new CRISPE t-shirts and headed out to hang out and be noticed in front of the Los Angeles court house. We call these dedicated men and women our ground troops. At the court house we were joined by another dozen people from other organizations like Father 4 Justice, National Coalition of Free Men and other equal shared parenting organizations.

One problem we had was a lack of parking for a very large and ominous 42' foot bus.  Seems people must not drive them to a courthouse on a regular basis.  We'll have to change that.  With no parking for a huge bus for real exposure, Larry Kerkman, the driver, decided to circle the court house at a very slow pace and of coarse fulfill the request of the ground troops sign that said "Honk for Equal Shared Parenting". Now keep in mind the 42ft, 40,000 lb bus comes with a very loud air horn.

Many other cars passing by joined in on the honking to support our cause, which created a lot of additional attention and excitement for Equal Shared Parenting. Larry lost track of how many times he circle the court house but it had to be more than 50 as it went on for over 4 hours.

There were media personnel present representing most all national and local news sources. Many of the CRISPE ground troops were interviewed by the media for their stories.  The CRISPE Bus and their ground troops made it on several TV stations such as EXTRA, CBS of Los Angeles, CNN and others.  If you have seen us on TV now, please let us know by signing our guestbook so we can keep track of the exposure.

We called it a "wrap" (movie speak in honor of Alec Baldwin) just before lunch time due to the hunger and fatigue of the troops and head back to CRISPE's home port of San Diego.

This event was a complete success, and provides another example of the impact the CRISPE Bus can have and addes string of success stories for the fight of the CHILDRENS RIGHTS INATIATIVE FOR SHARING PARENTS EQUALLY. Please take a minute to sign our guest book, signup for our newsletter and participate in the CRISPE National Tour for Equal Shared Parenting by inviting us to your community. Please tell us the invitation is in the mail - we're looking for it!
